Food Safety Level 2 Online Course - £24.95 + vat per person.
This course is ideal for anyone requiring the basic level of food safety training such as those working in the care industry, food handlers, waiters, kitchen assistants, chefs and food samplers or demonstrators. It is aimed at large or small businesses and individual users, this course has been built on the Royal Institute of Public Health's food hygiene syllabus and is recognised by Environmental Health Officers. The course is broken down into an introduction, five modules and an assessment. The introduction presents the main principles of working hygienically. The remainder of the course expands and reinforces food safety skills, and includes an explanation of bacteria and the food safety scheme HACCP.
The course is completed online, a broadband internet connection and headphones or speakers
will be needed, each learner is given their own login and password. The course uses audio visual, interactive animation to enable delivery in an enjoyable and refreshing format. It takes approximately two and a half hours to complete and progress can be saved as you go, enabling you to return to it later and start where you left off.
At the end of the course there is a multiple choice assessment, once this has been passed learners can print thier certificate as a record of their acheivement. If learner do not reach the required pass mark they can retake the assessment at not extra cost.

Module 2 - Food poisoning:
Bacteria, bacteriology, high risk foods, symptoms of food poisoning, toxins, microbiology.
Module 3 - Food control:
Allergens, HACCP, Delivery of food, storage conditions, dry foods, temperature control, danger temperatures, freezing, reheating.
Module 4 - Cleaning and waste:
Cleaning fluids, protective clothing, waste management, pests.
Module 5 - Complaints and law:
Complaint procedures, legal consequences, fines, food poisoning complaints.
