This Level 3 Award in Emergency Paediatric First Aid course is ideal for parents and will give participants a good understanding of emergency paediatric first aid which is incredibly important for the safety and well being of children. Successful participants will learn the roles and responsibilities of the emergency paediatric first aider, and will be equipped with the skills needed to deal with a range of paediatric first aid situations, such as managing an unresponsive infant or child, CPR, choking, anaphylaxis, seizures, wounds and bleeding and many other common injuries that a child may suffer. This highly regulated course is certificated by Qualsafe Awards, an OFQUAL approved awarding organisation, and fulfils all of the criteria for employers when selecting first aid training for their staff.
Who is this course for?
This course is ideal for parents or family members who want to learn key paediatric first aid skills, those who work with children and are not required to comply with Ofsted’s Childcare Register or EYFS requirements and those who want to provide additional support in their organisation to the paediatric first aiders that are trained to meet EYFS or Ofsted Childcare Register requirements.
Please note: This qualification does not fulfil Ofsted’s first aid requirements for early years teachers, nursery workers and child minders (as defined within the Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage 2014 and within The Child Care Register guide). Those who need to comply with Ofsted’s Childcare Register or EYFS requirements should complete the 2 day QA Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid (RQF) course.

Duration: 1 day
Certification: Successful participants will receive a Level 3 Award in Emergency Paediatric First Aid (RQF) certificate, valid for a period of 3 years, after which the learner will need to retake the course in order to remain qualified.
Additional information: All course materials and first aid handbook for each participant are provided. This course is subject to continuous assessment of participants practical first aid skills throughout the day by the tutor followed by a multiple choice assessment paper. Delegates attending this course must bring a valid form of photographic I.D.
Course Price: £455.00 plus VAT for a group of up to 12 people or £810.00 plus VAT for a group of up to 24 people. Courses can be taught over 2, half-day sessions for an additional charge
